Title: Volunteer Coordinator

Classification:

Part-time, 20 -30 hours per week, non-exempt, Saturday requirement


Description:

The Volunteer Coordinator will assist the Client Services Director of the Columbia Pregnancy Center (CPC) with volunteer recruitment and training, onsite classes, and community outreach.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Volunteer Recruitment

  • Recruit, select and interview potential volunteers.
  • Provide volunteer in-service training.
  • Develop and maintain a monthly schedule of client advocates.


Training Volunteers:

  • Provide training for all volunteer positions within the organization.
  • Execute training procedures to educate and enforce policy and procedures
  • Develop and maintain a monthly schedule of volunteers.


Onsite Classes:

  • Maintain and schedule onsite classes for the center calendar.
  • Provide administrative support to all center classes.


Community Outreach:

  • Provide representation at local churches, conferences and networking opportunities.
  • Coordinate opportunities for local churches to recruit volunteers.


Skills/ Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a helping field or related equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Bilingual preferred.
  • Prior public speaking and training experience.
  • Attention to detail and effective time management skills.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Prior experience working for a nonprofit organization or active in the prolife community.

Volunteer Coordinator Application Form

Title: Advancement Specialist

Classification:

Part-time, 20 -30 hours per week, non-exempt


Description:

The Advancement Specialist will assist the Executive Director of the Columbia Pregnancy Center (CPC) with outreach, communications, and marketing to clients and to the current and potential donor base.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Marketing:

  • Create annual marketing plan and execute marketing campaigns.
  • Develop print collateral related to marketing and fundraising.


Donor Relations:

  • Maintain and develop donor relations.
  • Identify prospective individual and corporate donors and develop strategies to cultivate those relationships.
  • Maintain ongoing communications with private and corporate donors, including acknowledgements of donations.
  • Research donor relations and community outreach programs at local, state and federal institutions.


Fundraising:

  • Research potential new revenue streams for the CPC including grants, endowments, fundable components, marketplace, and local/state/federal charitable campaigns.
  • Maintain CPC’s donor management system to keep donor information current and integrated between multiple platforms.


Technology/Social Media:

  • Administer and maintain the CPC’s online donation-processing platform including user-support, reporting, and record-keeping.
  • Assist with the management of digital, electronic, and social media campaigns.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or relevant work experience, preferably in marketing, communications, or related field.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to share the gospel of Jesus Christ by word and example, and to support a pro-life environment.
  • Have ability to work a flexible work schedule.
  • Carry out responsibilities with little or no supervision.
  • Prior work experience in the prolife movement is a plus.
